  1. Please be advised that the park is open to the public at all times and you are renting only the specified site area. Therefore your permit is issued only for the time and site stated.

  2. You must adhere to your scheduled hours. All special preparations must be handled within these hours (i.e. if you arrange for rental chairs or any special setup, they must be removed before the time your permit expires) This includes any personal directions or signage or markers you place in the park.

  3. Please use birdseed in place of rice and biodegradable balloons (these items are less harmful to wildlife).

  4. No sharp objects, especially tent stakes, may be driven into the ground due to the presence of an underground irrigation system and buried utilities. Tents must be approved before the date of your event and secured by water barrels only. Please note water is not available at the park to fill water barrels for tents and must be supplied by the tent company.

  5. No vehicle may be driven on the grass for any reason. Unloading and loading of any items is limited to the loading zone area only (see map). If it is necessary to fill water barrels the truck must stay in the temporary loading area at all times.

  6. The person obtaining the permit is responsible for the group's conduct and respect for the park, the topiaries, the flowerbeds and all plant materials. All groups must abide by all Columbus Recreation and Parks rules and regulations and Chapter 919.01 of the Columbus City Codes. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park at any time.

  7. Rehearsals must be scheduled with the Recreation and Parks Department Permit Section (645-3337) at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the wedding. Only one (1) thirty -minute rehearsal per wedding is permitted. Rehearsal times when available may only be scheduled Monday through Friday.

  8. A $25.00 dollar fee will be charged for any cancellations. The entire amount will be forfeited for cancellations made less than seven (7) working days. In case of rain, no refunds will be issued.
