Kids love to play and you can help make that happen! The P.L.A.Y. grant program gives opportunities to area underprivileged youth to participate in Columbus Recreation and Parks Department fee based programs. Your gifts are tax-deductible. - Any gift you can provide, $50, $25, or $10, makes a BIG difference in the life of child. Your gift to help a child can be sent to the address below.
- In 2006 P.L.A.Y. awarded nearly $63,000 in grants, which benefited over 2,100 youth.
- P.L.A.Y. has enabled area youth to experience everything from horseback riding to hockey. Children have been able to go whitewater rafting and learn woodworking skills. P.L.A.Y. has encouraged children to learn the art of photography as well as jewelry making and much more.
- During the summers of 2005 and 2006 nearly 1000 area youth were awarded a grant to attend one week of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department’s summer camps.
- P.L.A.Y. provides new experiences and a brighter future to the children of Columbus. P.L.A.Y. provides opportunities to develop important social and physical skills that lead to a happier, healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
- P.L.A.Y. gives children the ability to Just Be Kids!
