The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department offers youth tennis lessons for ages 4 - 14. Weekly lessons are held at 22 locations around Columbus. The Greater Columbus Tennis Association (GCTA) sponsors the summer Tennis Program, and through their sponsorship we are able to offer this program free of charge. Program pre-registration is required. Please contact the nearest recreation center in regards to site registration procedures.

Classes begin June 27 and end August 12 and will meet once a week. Columbus Recreation and Parks Department also offers a two Tennis Camp for ages 7 - 12 at Whetstone Park, June 20 - 24 and at Wolfe Park July 11 - 15.

AGES 9 - 14 NJTL PROGRAM

Ages 9 - 14 participate in the USA Tennis 1, 2, 3 Program (also, known as NJTL - National Junior Tennis League). This program is free of charge; however, some transportation may be required. Students meet once a week with a traveling Pro and then with Center staff on another day. Matches are held on Thursday at designated locations. The times listed are for those lessons with the Pro. Thursday match play is non-competitive, instructional only. However, we do offer an end of summer tournament for those players who participate in the program. Please contact your nearest recreation center fro more summer tennis opportunities.
