Wild Sightings

We need you! Let us know what animals (or plants in bloom) you see in our parks. We will post your findings on our website! This will help others know what to look for when they are out enjoying nature. Email your findings to emgrody@columbus.gov.

Tiger Salamander

March and April are the best times to see salamanders.  At this time, they are actively moving to breeding pools and searching for mates.

Be on the lookout for these special animals in our Parks!

Have you seen us?

The State of Ohio is interested in any reports of seeing a river otter or spotted turtle.  They are also interested in reports of  breeding/nesting activity of bald eagles, osprey  and peregrine  falcons.  If you see these animals,  please report it to the above email and we will forward it on to the ODNR.
